Thanks, I did go into Computer Management and check the drive letters. I also unloaded the drivers a million times. Actual count. And rebooted after each one.

A couple of days ago I went to use the DVD burner and discovered that it's no longer visible within Windows. The drive seems to spin up OK when I insert a CD though. I ran the supplied Toshiba Diagnostic Tool and it returned a "Fail" result for the DVD/CD drive. Ideas? Some kind of goofy driver issue?

My new PC has the ATI All-in-wonder 9000 Pro card and it came with a bundled set of software including Ulead VideoStudio 7.0 Se, Pinnacle studio 8, and Nero express 5.5 This Nero express also has no support for DVD writing (that I can see). If you install a DVD burner, Nero should offer you the option to use it.

The DVD Burner is jumpered as the master, and the one that is gone is a Even uninstalling everything in Safe Mode, and then rebooting, etc etc, all no help.
