HELP!!! "no cd or dvd burner has been detected".. but visible in M
There is one place in Panthip, for example, that is more expensive than any of the other shops but they only supply quality films - no CAMs, no TS's, only SCREENER _MAY ACTUALLY PLAY_ on a PC-based DVD burner. Evidently, they are of generally better quality that 99% of home DVD players, but my personal idea of

dvd burner.. which one?
No, Toast Video Support is the DVD stuff. I don't have it installed and burn VideoCDs quite successfully. Since I don't have a DVD burner or an intention of burning MPEG-2 stuff, I don't have it installed. If we are talking about Toast Titanium 5.0.1, like the subject line says, then I'm afraid you are mistaken.

I then cut the three sides together so the transitions would be seamless and burned the film to DVD. The DVD burner was also hooked up to the Avid via S-Video. And just to make sure there are no mistakes, here is a list of what the discs include and do not include: The DVDs have: The entire uncut Original

IBM's
basic NetVista model has half the hard-drive capacity, lacks the CD burner — and costs $400 more. Neither screen rotates or descends like the iMac's, and no other company offers a DVD burner in a one-piece machine, at any price. Apple has yet again provided Macintosh polish and elegance at prices the Windows

LF "no-install" DVD burner software
I'll buy a firewire enabled DVD burner, connect the Digital8 cam to the DVD burner, and press "record" on the DVD burner and "play" on the cam. That will work, right? Maybe. There's no guarantee that a Firewire DV recorder will know how to master Fireware, or understand the DV format. Now, sure, I think you'd be

I have a 733mhz G4 and there is no reason that I shouldn't be able to install a DVD burner - except that Apple won't supply the $20 software it gave free to those who got a 733 with a DVD burner installed. It seems that there is no problem. The claims from "Ian Rawlings" are extremely nonspecific. This kind of habbit is typical for "problems" thst do not really exist. My experiences with people who really have problems is that they always give much better information - even if this information is not sufficient to

... for this type of issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316529/ I went looking down the registry path mentioned in this article and once I get down to the ...CD Burning\Drives sub-key I see (big surprise) no drives listed. Is there no way to force vista into treating a drive as a DVD-RW instead of a DVD-ROM?

DVD reader or CD burner should go in favor of DVD burner?
No, because I'm not stupid enough to supply spam-artists with any of my real email addresses. Do you own the rights to this stuff? No. Of course not. God save us from scam artists with a home PC with a DVD burner. :-( Simply because you don't like the words doesn't mean it isn't the truth.

No, I have the top of the cable on the CD ROM, and the DVD Burner in the middle. That is how I had the CDROM burner, that was replaced by the DVD Burner hooked up as well. Peter Have you checked you MB bios to see if your system is recognizing the drive? If your system can't see it then XP won't stand a chance.

If you knew anything about DVD AUTHORING, you'd know that. No, you ignore them. No, YOU do. :P Got any more witty retorts? DVDR985 Bugs?
The Samsung drive referred to (I think it's actually a Sanyo) can burn 2 hours of video on a CD-RW that can be read on a compatible DVD drive, therefore NO NEED to buy a DVD burner unless you insist on more than 2 hours of video on a disc. Anyone with just occassional need to record a video longer than 2 hours
